Any mom that decides to become an entrepreneur deserves a cheerleader. Because let’s face it – being a great mom is tough enough, especially if you’re the one they rely on as their foundation.
You’ve got a tough job, and throw being a great entrepreneur on top of that and it can be a bit overwhelming.
I salute you.
That’s why I became a coach.
I wanted to cheer on those that might not have their own cheering section.
You’re already undervalued for the job you do. You need someone that will help you see your value. That’s what I do.
I’ve always been an encourager. Seeing things in people that they don’t necessarily see in themselves comes pretty naturally for me.
People are usually shocked when they learn that I was a cheerleader in high school. I was even the captain of the cheerleading squad one year. They are shocked because I have a very quiet voice, it’s not loud and it doesn’t carry well. I’m a bit shy and introverted by nature and I’m not bubbly.
But I loved being a cheerleader! Even though I don’t like to be the center of attention. Maybe that’s what makes me a great coach and maybe that’s what made me a good cheerleader.
I love highlighting other people. I love encouraging them and cheering them on. I love helping them believe that they can win.
The other thing I love is being a solid foundation. When I was a cheerleader, I was never on the top. I was always pretty strong and solid – that’s what you get growing up with five brothers – so I was the one the other girls were climbing on.
That was exactly where I wanted to be. I have more of a quiet steady strength.
I always wanted to be someone that people could count on. I wanted to be exactly what people needed. Other girls didn’t want to be on the bottom and I was happy to stand in the gap for them. They knew I would stand solid. I would be there for them. I would not crumble beneath the weight of those on top of me.
When you have a solid foundation, you can trust in your safety, your security. You can trust in your future. My solid foundation is, first and foremost, my faith in God. I lean on that foundation daily. My next most solid foundation is my faith in myself. I know that I can count on myself to be there no matter what. It’s may not always pretty or easy, but I have no doubt that I will always do whatever it takes to see something through.
Who are you for your clients? How do you your clients see you? What do you want them to take away from your program? How do you want them to grow and thrive?
