How do you currently see yourself?
How do you feel about where you are?
What do you focus on most of the time?
When I first started my business, I saw myself as inexperienced, inadequate, lacking.
Everything was a struggle.
But it wasn’t because I was inexperienced, inadequate, and lacking.
Even if that were true, which I now realize it wasn’t, it’s not helpful for me to believe this about myself.
When I was working in or on my business, I acted as if I was all those things.
When you’re inexperienced, what do you do?
When you feel inadequate, what do you do?
Many times, I wasn’t taking action, too afraid to fail.
Other times, I was taking action, but very tentatively, not forcefully and fearlessly.
This is why I struggled. Not because I was these things, but because I BELIEVED I was these things.
It’s okay to be a beginner, but just notice how you’re showing up. Is that driving compassion or is it driving inaction?
Who do you have to be in order to succeed in your business?
Take some time to think about this.
Write down the characteristics.
Do you have to judge yourself, beat yourself up? I know that didn’t work so well for me.
Do you have to be understanding and compassionate?
Do you have to be willing to fail?
Do you have to have your own back in every decision you make?
What will it look like when you’re successful in your business?
How will you show up?
What will you do?
How will you do it?
How will you feel:
About yourself?
About your business?
About your life?
When you have your ideal business in your ideal life?
Imagine showing up that way today.
Then notice how you start loving your business and enjoying the journey.
