What problems do you see in your business?

How do those problems make you feel?

Hebrews 12: 1-3 Therefore since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. and let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of faith.

Let us throw off everything that hinders. What are all the things that hinder us?

Not enough time

Not enough money

Not enough creativity

Not enough knowledge

Not enough clarity

Not enough expertise

Not good enough copy

Not good enough niche

Not enough focus

Not enough support

Not enough direction

Problems-and this list could go on and on and on

If there’s a money lie behind each problem (SPOILER ALERT! There is😉 ), what questions can we ask to scrutinize the money lies and in the process uncover the truth about the problem?

It doesn’t matter what resource you’re talking about in the list of not enough, you can ask questions like these to get to the specifics. Because specifics bring clarity.

How much do you need? Why?

What do you need it for?

How much do you have? Why?

How did you get what you have?

How could you get or make more?

That gives you a better understanding of the true problem when you add specifics. And these questions help your brain get more specific.

Let’s say that the problem that hinders is not enough time. This is common among my clients –  just as common as not enough money because how we think about one circumstance is how we think about most circumstances.

How much time do you need?

What will you use that time for?

What time do you have?

What time are you willing to make?

How much time do you WANT to spend in your business?

It cracks me up — every time I ask a client that question — without fail — they answer the question they heard, which is NOT the question I ask. They start their answer with “Well, I could … ” or “Well, I would be willing to … “

I have never had ANYONE answer the question I asked on the first try. What question did you answer in your head? Did you answer the question I asked? The question I asked is How much time do you WANT to spend in your business?

When you get clear on that, you can more effectively question the Money Lie that you don’t have enough time. Enough time is what you want to spend. Period. End of story.

The problem is that we decide how much time we’re going to spend in our business, then we proceed to believe that it’s not enough. Why would you WANT to spend an amount of time that is not enough? Decide what you want and then make it enough. Or decide what is enough, then spend that amount. It doesn’t get you anywhere but STUCK when you don’t decide how much time you’ll spend AND/OR you don’t decide how much time is enough.

There is no right answer. There is only YOUR answer. So make that answer ENOUGH.

I just want to stop here for a minute and have you check in with what you believe about yourself:

As an entrepreneur, as a CEO, as a mom, as a wife, as a daughter, as a friend, as a coach, as a business owner, even as a person, what you believe about your offer, your program, your content, your value, your worth, your capability. Think about how you think about the circumstance of you. Picture it this way: how think about you is at the top of the waterfall. Then think about these other resources as the water falling below flowing from the top. Whatever you believe about the You circumstance impacts what falls from the top of that waterfall. You can only have anything flowing below that comes from the top. In other words, you can’t have anything flowing below that doesn’t start at the top. Think of Niagara Falls.

All of the water that hits the rocks at the bottom gets its start at the top of the falls. It has to go over that first edge before gravity can do its job and create the waterfall. Nothing to flow over the edge and you have no waterfall. So if there’s nothing flowing at the top, there will be nothing at any level to reach the bottom. If you believe there is not enough in you, there will not be enough in your business or your life.

Whatever resources you want to experience an abundance of, you have to first experience an abundance in yourself. If you believe you’re not good enough, you won’t have enough time because you won’t be capable enough to manage it effectively. If you believe you don’t deserve to make a lot of money, you won ‘t have a lot of money. It has nowhere to flow from. You are the source of your abundance and until you’re enough you won’t experience the MORE you’re made for.

Whatever you want MORE of, it must begin with you.

How are you already enough?

How are you already capable?

How are you already adequate?

How are you already worthy?

Why do you already deserve MORE?

What are you MADE for?

What is the MORE you want?

How are you prepared to receive and create that?

How is it clear that you’ve been training your whole life for a time such as this?
